Late Republic of Texas, $47.13 claim on the public debt, 1854, Cr. 53B, #5162, in favor of ED Little "for Services as Lt on the Wall Campaign," ornate title and border, black, toning and wear along folds, partial edge splits repaired on verso with tape, some edge wear, but good VF. Six years after Texas had won independence from Mexico, Frnech-born Mexican general Adrian Woll led a force of over 1000 men across the border and captured San Antonio, but was unable to hold it and was compelled to withdraw.
