Webster, Noah Good pair of documents, including partly printed Autograph Document Signed "Noah Webster" twice in body, 1 page, legal folio, New Haven August 28, 1804. An indenture in which Eneas Monson Jr sells to Webster land in that city "bounded...south on Water Street, East on land belonging to Justin Denison & partly on land belonging to Nathaniel Harrison, & patly on land of Ebenezer Townsend Jun...being about one Acre & a quarter..." With partly printed DS "Noah Webster," 1 page, legal folio, New Haven, July 13, 1812. For $3000, Webster mortgages land "in Amherst bounded...North on land owned by HW Strong & Solomon Strong, West on the Highway leading from Amherst to Sunderland...containing Six acres more or less..." First with offsetting from seal, second with some ink blotting, both toned with minor edge and fold wear, VG. Webster´s property in Amherst was on what is now Main St. During his time there, he was instrumental in helping establish Amherst College.
