1838 Reeded Edge 50 Cents. NGC Uncirculated Details, Obverse Spot Removed. JR-2e, R.5. Pleasing soft brown toning is noted on both sides with sharp detail on the devices. Of particular intrigue is a massive die crack that bisects the reverse eagle and certainly signaled a terminal die state. A small area of gray toning, running diagonally from Liberty´s nose is apparently the culprit of "spot removal".
