Steinmetz Electric Motor Car Corp (MD), Less than 100 shs, 1920-24, ornate borders, common blue (1) and preferred green (5), uncanceled, one stained, good VF-EF. Incorporated in 1922, the man behind this venture was the famed electrical genius Charles Steinmetz, whose accomplishments and prestige were only eclipsed by Edison. Steinmetz´s vision was to produce $500 electric cars. Prototypes were built and tested, but no commercial production was ever reported. [6]
