†1888 (30 Oct.) envelope (opened-out for display) from Sandakan to Germany, bearing 1886 10c., 1886-87 1/2c. block of four, 1c. and 1888-92 3c. strip of three and 5c. pair, all cancelled by oval of bars with the 1c. additionally tied by Sandakan c.d.s. in red and, on reverse, framed "registered no" in blue and Leipzig c.d.s.; the envelope with some soiling and stains though a rare and attractive mixed-issue franking.
