†6d. slate-lilac pairs (2) with good to very large margins, each neatly cancelled and tied on 1864 (3 Apr.) blue envelope from Fort Beaufort via Cape Town to London, showing London Paid c.d.s. on face, despatch oval d.s. and Cape Town c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope with ironed creases at top which crosses one of the pairs, nevertheless an attractive and very rare franking.
