1873 (10 Aug.) envelope registered from Carlsruhe, Baden to "His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Baden" at Eastbourne, bearing 1872 small shield 2k., 3k. and large shield 9k. vertical strip of three all with c.d.s., showing two strikes of the large "Chargé" h.s. and two London Registered oval d.s. in red, fine red wax seal and arrival c.d.s. on reverse; the adhesives with some defects and the cover with overall soiling, though a remarkable franking.
