De La Rue Prince Regent essay inscribed "specimen" at foot, a small specialised group comprising engraved die proofs (3) of a large vignette with uncleared cross-hatched surround, frame and complete design, and surface-printed die proof of the complete design, all four in black, and the "issued" stamp blocks of four in dull violet, blue and red, and a pair in red.
