George I, Pattern Guinea, 8.42g., 1727, long haired laureate bust facing right, struck in high relief, tie with two ends, georgivs.dg.m.br.fr.et.hib.rex.fd., toothed border both sides, rev. inverted die axis, crowned cruciform broad shields, incorporating the Arms of Hanover, Garter Star at centre, sceptres in angles, seven strings to Irish harp, date either side of halved English and Scottish shield, .brvn et.l.dvx s.r.i.a.th et.el., edge, diagonally milled (WR 66 R6), with striking weakness to the highest points of relief both sides, otherwise mint state and of the highest rarity thus Estimate £8,000-10,000 provenance
