†1875 "One Penny." Provisionals The Famous "Moncrieff" Cover 1875 (26 May) envelope "via New York" to "H.A. Moncrieff Esq. 3 Waterloo Place Pall Mall London S W" with crest of H.M.S. Bellerophon on flap, bearing 1d. on 2d. dull blue, 1d. on 3d. yellow-buff (4 with a pair — straight-edge at right), 1d. on 1/- green, together with 1865 1d. rose-red, all lightly cancelled with "3" Type K1 obliterators and with "bermuda/i/paid"Type P5 c.d.s. at lower left corner with portions of the date altered in manuscript and showing, on reverse, London arrival c.d.s. for 21 June; the stamps and cover with a few light age marks, nevertheless a remarkable and colourful franking, and the only cover known bearing all three values of this issue.
