†Datestamps "hamilton/bermuda" c.d.s. — PM4 This datestamp was appplied in black from 1841 to mid 1849 and in red from 1849 to 1867 1843 (30 Aug.) entire letter to Halifax, rated "4" and showing, on reverse, a partially fine strike for 2 September and with fine arrival c.d.s. for 12 September alongside; some light stains close or just touching the datestamps.
