Mount (St. Thomas's Mount): 1833 (13 June) soldier's entire letter (some splitting around edges) from a Srgt. in the 3rd Battn. Artillery to London, countersigned by the C.O. and showing, on front, a fine strike of the framed "mount/free" (HG 3) and a good strike of the large circular "india soldiers/london/3" and, on reverse, a fine strike of the very scarce "madras/soldiers.letter/free" c.d.s. in red (HG SD10) and faint boxed "india letter/cowes" in red.
