POSTAL HISTORY England, Scotland and Wales 1840 (31 Aug.) entire to Bath, the address panel with very fine strike of the large red "paid/1" (incorrectly applied and crossed through in ink) with superb large red "paid/2" adjacent, the reverse with superb strike of the red Marlboro 'travelling stamp' (only recorded in use for 1840); slightly rubbed fold but in no way detracting from this very rare and visually stunning exhibition item.
