POSTAL HISTORY England, Scotland and Wales 1838 (9 Aug.) entire letter from Brighton to the Ventnor, Isle of Wight, re-addressed to Ryde then back to Ventnor again, the address panel showing very fine strike of the extremely rare script-type "Mifsent/to Ryde", rated "8" (twice, both crossed through) and "9"; fine and most unusual.
