1841 ONE PENNY RED-BROWN Plated IX, DC, double letter D, margins all round, on entire letter from London to Odiham, dated 5 July 1843, tied by very fine strike of the "7" in Maltese Cross, the cover then turned and re-used from Odiham to Basingstoke, without adhesive, the address panel with red manuscript "1" and double-arc despatch datestamp; fine and a rare combination of plate, cancellation and usage.
