†Victoria (1837-1901), Bronze Proof Penny, 1861, struck on a heavy flan of 11.167g., laureate and draped bust facing left, hair tied in bun, finer hair strands at nape of neck, wreath of 15 leaves and 4 berries, two leaves have incuse outlines, l c wyon raised below bust nearly touches border, toothed border and thin linear circle both sides, victoria d:g: britt: reg: f: d: rev.Britannia seated right on rocks with shield and trident, crosses on shield outlined with wider spaced thinner double raised lines, thumb touches St. George Cross, l.c.w. incuse below shield, date below in exergue, lighthouse with 4 windows to left, rocks touch linear circle, ship sailing to right, one penny (Fr. 23 R18, dies 4+D; Peck 1640; S.3954), toned mint state and extremely rare Estimate £ 150-200 Graded by PCGS as PR66BN, but this is clearly not a proof coin because of the die combination
