George III, Proof Penny, 1806, early Soho, struck in bronzed copper, small laureate and draped bust facing right, date below, wreath of 11 leaves, faintly striated riband with 2 loops and 2 loose ends, 9 jewelled brooch, K. on shoulder, beaded border both sides, georgius iii. d: g. rexrev. struck en medaille, Britannia seated to left on rock amidst waves, olive branch of 11 leaves and 3 berries in right hand, left hand clasps trident with shield, one horizontal line below hand, K to left of shield, tuft of grass by foot, soho raised on rock to right, ship with 2 stays sailing to left, britanniarum above, flaw by second A, edge,grained (Peck 1323 KP30 VS), a pair of tiny digs on obverse field, a few other trifling marks, mint state and very scarce Estimate £ 150-200
