(1987) as RGV M7 on plate 50 this coin), once lightly mounted, very fine; Uniface Dam, undated, sword in centre and legend on either side, Śrī Śrī/Jitā (RGV 531 this coin), good fine, rare (2)

i) One of the few Malla coins which gives an exact date which may refer to the day of Jitamitra’s coronation (or rather it indicates the date when he was installed as heir apparent).

The above coin is one of a few very skilful imitations that may have been produced in Nepal in the late 1960s. The genuine coin was first published by Carlo Valdettaro (1967). It was part of his Nepal coin collection that he bequeathed to the British Museum.
