CIVITAS LONDON, top-tilted S, normal-barred Ns, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 1.428g [22.04grns], 4h, i.m. cross pattée (Site Reference [B3]; North 1034/2; Spink 1406); another, + EDW R' ANGL' DNS hyB', scroll-tailed R, normal-barred Ns, unbarred As, top-tilted S, comma-shaped contraction marks, crowned bust facing, with flat crown band, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, top-tilted S, normal-barred Ns, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 1.266g [19.54grns], 5h, i.m. cross pattée (Site Reference [L3.F5.13]; North 1034/2; Spink 1406), the second double-struck on portrait, otherwise both of excellent fabric and proudly struck up, with attractive field patina, very fine or better; amongst the sharpest Pennies recovered from the Hambleden trove (2)
