A balance collection contained in a carton box, in four albums and some loose including 1855 (26 Nov.) notice with 4d., 6d. and 1/- "specimen" (3), 1859 (25 June) notice, 1859 (May) notices with 3d. "specimen" (3), and with 1d., 2d., 3d. and 4d. "specimen", ½d. to 1/- proof sheet showing ten values (2), 1892 colour standards proof page (2), 1876 1d., 1½d., 2d., 3d., 4d., 6d. and 1/- unissued envelopes overprinted "specimen", and a large range of compound frankigns, mint and used, some with additional frankings. Also No. 68 postal notice headed "Notice to the Public. Stamped Newspaper Wrappers.", Warrant No. 22 "Impressing Postage Stamps (½d. or 1d.) on sheets of paper for cutting into Wrappers for Newspapers, &c.", three used pictorial wrappers: "Special Book Wrappers", "Special Postal Wrapper", and "Civic Service Supply Association" wrapper, and a range of QEII stationery. A wonderful group well worth careful study.
