1845-1955 A specialised collection with 1841 1d. pink envelopes size B showing albino impression: 1845, (26 Mar.) from Cranbrook to Liverpool with "226" numeral; (5 Nov.) from Leamington to Cheltenham with "444" numeral; Certificate of Posting 1877-1881 ½d. pink selection arranged on six album pages including 1877 pane with "specimen" overprint, 1878 pad with eleven panes, 1881 pane used in Glasgow (Huggins CPP1-CPP3); Newspaper Wrappers: Stamped to Order 1870 ½d. green dated "1.10.70" on plain wrapper, fine unused; very scarce with only a few examples recorded. Also an example good used from London to Burton with the original 1871 enclosure for Union Land Company shares (WS1), 1870 ½d. green in an uncut sheet of twelve, size C, a rare sheet, possibly unique. (WP4), 1920-21 unused wrappers bearing ½d.+ ½d., 1d.+ 1d., 1½d.+ 1½d. and 2d.+ 2d. (piece only), 1943-51 a selection of Victor Marsh impressions on turquoise, cream or greenish wrappers, each bearing two or four impressions tête-bêche with 1½d. brown and 2½d. blue on bluish; 1951 ½d. orange (single impression) plus pairs on white, blue, cream and turquoise, different combinations of 1d. blue (4), 1½d. green (4), 2d. brown (3) and 2½d. red (4), KGVI selection on leaves including the scarce 1937 ½d. green on News Chronicle wrapper to Berlin and 1938 W.H. Smith wrapper to Berlin, 1d. scarlet unused and used (2), used 1½d. brown (2), 2½d. blue (2); 1951 change of colour with 1d. blue, 1½d. green (2) and 2d. brown (2); also 1d. red (2) on unused Blood Transfusion form, 1955 ½d. orange plus 1½d. green on W.H. Smith wrapper; fine unused. Very scarce. WS41; Letter Cards with 1892 unissued colour trials with four printed lines for the address, printed in ultramarine on blue and in carmine on blue and 1d. carmine on blue variety imperforate, fine. It is thought that there are only six unused and one used example. A remarkable assembly well worth careful viewing.
