1810 (Dec. 23). Cover from Cattaro (Kotor) to Castelnuovo (Herceg Novi), with a very fine strike of the “cattaro/illyrie" two-line postmark in red (Müller 216b=280 Points), adopted by the Albanian Division of the French Dalmatian Army (occupying the Dalmatian coast from 1807 to 1815), showing on reverse a neatly applied “R.a delegaz.e provin-/ciale di cattaro” two-line handstamp (Royal Provincial Delegation of Kotor). A very rare postmark (as reported by Müller) and one of two items known with this administrative cachet from Cattaro.
