1781 (Sept. 10). Entire letter from the Consul of the Kingdom of Naples in Corfu (Kerkyra), Mr. Demetrio Micazza, to the Supreme Health Magistrate in Naples, with evidence of disinfection by flame, reporting on the state of pestilence on the Greek island and in neighbouring territories under Venetian rule, the Kingdom of the Morea, and Turkish Albania, including "...the continuation of the perfect health status that thanking God is still characterising this Island, as well as all the neighbouring Levant under Venetian Domain, as well as all favourable relations with all Morea Reign and the whole Albania. The same for all trading...". An interesting postal history document bearing witness to the control of the plague.
