1845-54 a group of entires to Cadiz, each bearing the "manila/iss filips" c.d.s. with 1844 (31 Jan,) cover "via de Egypt" bearing a very large manuscript rate mark; 1845 (20 Jan.) neat cover bearing handstruck "8R" in red sent via Cape of Good Hope; 1848 (3), 1853 and 1854 Matia covers, each bearing "franco" handstamp and sent via Suez, "Per el Itsmo" or "via del Itsmo" and showing the postmarks in different colours; 1853 (23 June) via Suez, postmarks in blue, without rate mark.
