1947 (12 Aug.) embossed note paper headed "bahawalpur" bearing 3p. on 1a.3p. yellow-brown vertical strip of three and two singles labelled "Submitted for Approval." and numbered 1-5, each with proof handstamp in different colour: pale violet, violet, black, green and red. The reverse with printed note: "Provisional handstamps (on stamps), approved by His Highness, the Nawab Ruler of Bahawalpur./All for record of the:/Postmaster General,/Government of Bahawalpur./From, Office of the:/Mushir-ai-Tasrefaat,/Sadiq Garh Secretariat,/Sadiq Garh Palace."
