Bank of England, G. M. Gill & G. E. A. Kentfield, [2 notes] signature sequence pair £20, 1991 (1993), serial numbers A73 663206-07,

As a result of the mixing of un-numbered Gill and Kentfield stock before the introduction of the Kentfield £20, serial number overlaps between the two signatures can be found. Overlaps between column sort prefixes (A--, B-- & C-- above 70) can also be found, but are scarcer.

There is only one recorded instance of a signature sequence pair, the term used for a pair with consecutive serial numbers but with different signatures, but such a pair with column sort prefixes has never before been identified.
