Central Bank of Egypt, *TOP POP* colour trial specimen £200, 2007, serial number 001/Y 8888888,

The first of a series of four colour trial specimens, here with Qani Bay mosque, denomination and the Seated Scribe on reverse all displayed in a deep purple, among other colour variations. The prefix 001/Y is a deviation from the standard format of the issued prefixes (1/Y - 16/Y), and the solid 8's serial numbers further set these unusual types apart.
