(g) NGC PF64 CAMEO | William IV (1830-1837), Coronation Proof Half-Sovereign, 1831, by William Wyon and Jean-Baptiste Merlen, bare head right, plain truncation, rev. crowned shield on mantle, ANNO - 1831 below, edge plain, 3.99g*, 6h (EGC II, 1038 [S]; Marsh 409E; W&R 267; S.3830), some minor surface marking atop otherwise brilliant fields, with a handsome cameo definition, pleasing extremely fine, a celebrated rarity recently re-imagined by the Royal Mint, believed only 225 struck, in NGC holder, graded PROOF 64 CAMEO (Cert. #2134540-001)
