(x) Government of Seychelles, 100 Rupees, 1st January 1968, serial number A/1 005040,
A vivid red and blue note featuring the portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II in the regalia of the Order of the Garter at the right and an illustration of two giant tortoises under a valoutye shrub at the left of the obverse design. This serial number prefix (A/1) and date (1968) are both the earliest available for this banknote. The curved denomination banner on the obverse of this note is unique to this design and unlike the other 1968-75 issues or any other Seychelles banknotes.
