Paul Gerber (born 1950 in Bern, Switzerland) is a world-renowned independent watchmaker celebrated for his inventive horology, intricate complications, and meticulous craftsmanship. Based in Zurich since 1976, Gerber operates from his own workshop, creating unique and technically sophisticated timepieces entirely by hand. He is regarded as one of the great creative minds in modern watchmaking.
He holds two Guinness World Records: one for crafting the world's most complicated wristwatch-the legendary Superbia Humanitatis, developed in collaboration with Franck Muller and based on a Louis Elysée Piguet movement-and another for the smallest wooden clock, carved from boxwood.
He often incorporates whimsical elements into his watches, balancing high technical achievement with understated humour. His work is highly regarded in the horological community, inspiring and influencing watchmakers worldwide.
