AN ORNATE HAND-PAINTED INDIA ESSAY FROM 1895

3r. Hand-Painted Essay on Tracing Paper, 1895, in green and mauve and with 'India/ Postage' and the denomination picked out in Chinese white, numbered 'No.7' at upper left, from the original set of ten produced by De La Rue and dated 'nov. 3/93' at upper right, with the Queen's head facing left and with ornate frame, similar to the chosen design for the 1895 high values.
Small tear in the tracing paper at upper right through the date not affecting the design or the superb appearance of this unique hand painted essay of exhibition calibre.
