(x) Union Bank of Scotland Limited, [2 notes] £20, 31st March 1905, serial number A46/001, a proof £20 note that exhibits an interesting features. With an annotation on the counterfoil and a circular pattern of hole punches, it is an interesting note on the obverse. However, the reverse is even more intriguing. A rare printer's waste has resulted in the obverse blue design being printed again on the reverse. At first glance, the note looks like the obverse design is simply showing through the paper. However, this is not the case, and it is indeed printed again on the note's reverse. Lot also includes a progressive proof of the red denomination underprint,
(PMS UB 60 for type), very fine to extremely fine, hole punched, previously mounted, mounting remnants (2 notes)
