(x) British Linen Bank, specimen £1, Edinburgh, 2nd November 1908, blue and white, bank arms top centre flanked by value in blue tablets, ornate vertical panel at left, red "B.L.B" at centre, facsimile signature of A K Aikman, Waterlow & Sons printing, printed "SPECIMEN" three times in red, obverse only. This note has been sold through Spink's auctions in the past, and before that, the note was in the archives of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland
