Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1663 XV, first bust variety, extra curl, ties to R of CAROLVS, stop after II, rev. stops on reverse, crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, interlocking cyphers in angles, edge lettering upwards, 29.67g [457.88grns], 6h (Bull 358; ESC 27; S.3354), some cabinet friction to hair, otherwise toned and uniformly worn as usual for type, fine; and Crown, 1663 XV, first laureate and draped bust variety right, extra curl on neck and another below C of CAROLVS, no frosting, rev. no stops in legend, second revised crowned shields cruciform, nine strings to harp, lettered edge downwards, 29.46g, 6h (Bull 357/359; ESC 26/27A; S.3354), flecked and rubbed, only good, but the variety presumably very rare and unlisted by Bull (2)

Apart from the extra curl on the neck all features agree with Bull 359 and ESC 27A. Bull lists nine varieties of 1663 XV, and ESC lists seven. None of them mention the curl on the neck.
