Charles I (1625-1649), Uncertain Mints, possibly Hereford, Halfcrown, 1645, King on horseback left, holding upright sword, cloak flying from shoulders, grassy ground below, rev. crowned oval shield within garter, dividing C-R above, with lion and unicorn supporters to left and right respectively, date below, 13.42g [207.10grns], 7h (Brooker 180, these dies; North 2359; S.2915), heavily worn, cleaned and subsequently retoned, irregular flan, obverse poor, reverse fair, very rare and with an interesting provenance
