CIVITAS LONDON, long cross, trio of pellets in angles, additional annulet in two angles, 3.74g, 6h, m.m. incurved pierced cross (North 1423; S.1835), some raggedness to edge, richly toned, very fine; another, Halfgroat, Calais, 1422-1430, similar, annulets at neck, rev. VILLA : CALIS' :, double saltire stops, as before, 1.74g, 11h (North 1429; S.1840), on a waved flan, peripheral softness, otherwise toned, almost very fine; lastly, Penny, Calais, as before, 0.89g (North 1432; S.1845), lightly crimped flan, a evident field find, patinated, a bolder fine (3)
