CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets, 1h, m.m. crown, waterworn, fair to fine; also, Pennies, York (2), similar to last, CIVITAS EBORACI, quatrefoil at centre, clipped or crimped and waterworn, mediocre to good; Scotland, Alexander III, 'Cross and Mullets' Penny, 2h, some die clashing, richly cabinet toned, good fine; also, Henry VI, First Reign (1422-1461), Pinecone-Mascle Issue, Halfpennies, Calais, 7h, crimped and porous, fair; another, as last, London, 9h, good fine; also, Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Halfgroat, 1582-84, Tower, m.m. bell, fair; additionally, James I (1603-1625), Halfgroats (2), both waterworn and field found, fair to fine; and, Charles I, Scotch Twenty Pence, toned, fair; also, Rose Farthing, m.m. crescent, a very fine example of Britain's first bimetallic currency; also, Gaston V, Denier Tournois, 1652 A, Paris, mediocre; and a Electrotype Copy of a Henry V Penny, struck at York, edge seam exposed and split, otherwise a curious counterfeit (25)
