John McCrimmon was born in Scotland in 1855 and joined the New South Wales Police on 8 May 1883 as a Constable. Appointed a Sub-Inspector on 1 February 1907, he saw service as Inspector of Police in 1915 when he was discharged to a pension. McCrimmon died on 22 July 1937; sold together with copied research.
