M.B.E. London Gazette 3 June 1962.
Maud Magnus served as Joint County Organiser with the Northumberland branch of the Women's Royal Voluntary Service. She was invested with the honour by Elizabeth II on 13 November 1962; sold together with an annotated photograph identifying 'Auntie Maud Magnus receiving MBE for WRVS Work Uncle Victor her husband Auntie Bessie'.
