Donald Felix Edmund Ramsey was born at Woodbridge, Suffolk in January 1917. He enlisted on 19 January 1935 into the Sherwood Foresters and served with the 1st Battalion and saw pre-war service with "A" Company at Jamaica and served with the same Battalion in Palestine. He was posted to the 2nd Battalion on 29 January 1941 and was attached to No.190 Z A/A/ Battery Royal Artillery West Ham, London. Ramsey was sent to North Africa and was reported as 'Missing believed Killed' on 24 March 1943. He is remembered on the Medjez-El-Bab Memorial.
