A Great War Pair to Private H. Keech, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment, who was killed in action during the attack on Ramicourt and Montbrehain on 3 October 1918

Harry Hill Keech was born and enlisted at Scunthorpe, he was killed in action on 3 October 1918 whilst serving with the 1/8th Battalion and is buried in the Ramicourt British Cemetery.

The attack on Ramicourt & Montbrehain:

The 3 October 1918 saw the 139th Bde. attack Ramicourt and Montbrehain on the morning of 3 October at 0650. The 137th Brigade co-operated on our right and the Australians on our left. During this attack the prisoners captured by the Battalion nearly 1,000 together with many Machine Guns.
