William Nicholas Millichamp was born on 17 March 1896 to William and Rhoda Millichamp at 21 Parsons Street, Bristol. On the 1911 census, he is recorded as working in the Oil and Colour works and just days before his 16th birthday, he enlisted into the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Probationer Band on 4 March 1912. Upon entry into the Great War, he was working on the Tramways in Bristol. He was assigned to 'Drake' Battalion 'D' Company and was latterly killed in action on the 25 May 1915 in the Dardanelles and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.

Frank G. Millichamp was born of William and Rhoda Millichamp at 21 Parsons Street, Bristol. He initially enlisted into the 1st Battalion, Gloucester Regiment under the service number 26967. He then later transferred to the 10th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment under the new service number 35565. On his pension papers, he is also recorded to having had the third service number 5094818. These medals are his sole entitlement from the Great War.
