Henry Sharp was born at High Barnet, Hertfordshire in 1865 and attested there on 20 December 1898 with the 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment (Hertfordshire Militia). This Battalion was formed from the Hertfordshire Militia when the Bedfordshire Regiment was formed in 1881. Embodied on 16 January 1900 he entered the war in South Africa on 27 February 1900, serving until he was disembodied on 11 June 1902; sold together with copied research.
