Micheal Kenneth Weavers was born at Grimsby, Lincolnshire on 24 August 1948 and enlisted at Grimsby on 24 March 1971. Posted to Northern Ireland, he was injured in 1974, the related report form gives further details on the circumstances stating:
'Stopped to take photograph of people stoning in Central Drive, approximately forty people came towards our vehicles, I picked up the baton gun to fire at them, and large stone hit me on the finger.'
The result was a fractured finger but Weavers could count himself lucky not to have been injured further. He was discharged on 14 March 1986; sold together with copied research and a copied photograph.
