Charles Tuck disembarked on the Western Front on 10 August 1914 and initially served with the 2nd Battalion, Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment) under the service number 7877. He then transferred to the Machine Gun Corps on 22 January 1916 under the new service number 15421. For his service he was further entitled to the 1914 Star and British War and Victory Medals. After the war, Tuck received his pension from 19 February 1919 and his residence was at Chesterton, Cambridgeshire.
