(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, Wittebergen (1595 Pte A. Plowman, Scots Gds:), very fine
Albert Plowman worked as a barman before he enlisted into the 2nd Battalion, Scots Guards on 25 August 1897. He served at home until he was deployed to South Africa on 15 March 1900. On 24 April 1901, Plowman died of Enteric Fever at Harrismith - his mother, Sarah, collected his medal. He was further entitled to the South Africa 1901 clasp.
