Purchased Spink, September 1980.

William Arthur was born at Kirkaldy, Fife in 1835 and enlisted into the Royal Artillery (No. 312) in February 1853. Having served in the Crimea (Medal & clasp, Turkish Medal) for one year and three months, he spent some four years and five months at Gibraltar and was discharged unfit in May 1863.
