The Order of the Partisan Star was instituted under the command of Josip Broz Tito. It was issued from 1943-80, and the First Class Star with a golden wreath was awarded for skilful command and outstanding services. Only 627 Stars with a golden wreath were issued, out of a total of over 12,500 total awards across three Classes.
