Purchased Navan August 1984, when sold with a gold watch inscribed:

'Presented by the Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and Gunners Nairn A. V. Corps to Captain James Duffus as a mark of esteem for His Service during 21 years April 1881'

The Nairn Artillery Volunteers were combined to form the Highland Volunteer Artillery in 1890; sold together with a handwritten note.
