Henry Wright was born in Liverpool on 29 October 1892 and made his living as a labourer at the docks before taking to the sea himself, entering the service of the Royal Navy for 12 year engagement on his eighteenth birthday in 1910. However, he had served underage from 9 May 1909 as a Boy Second Class with Ganges and later as a Boy First Class from January 1910. Upon formally entering his period of engagement on H.M.S. Gibraltar, Wright was advanced Ordinary Seaman.

He spent the next couple of years with Prometheus and Penguin until he was further promoted Able Seaman on 12 October 1912. Serving aboard H.M.S. Blake upon the outbreak of the First World War, Wright remained with her for a few years before joining Musketeer in July 1916, being advanced Leading Seaman with her that same month. During the war Wright saw further service with Colleen, Vivid I, Defiance, Kendall, Gunner and Carnavon.

His service was to continue long after the end of the Great War, and he found his promotion to Acting Petty Officer with Resolution on 27 January 1932 and then to Petty Officer in January 1933 with Vivid I. He was shore pensioned the following month, but Wright did not leave the service until being invalided from R.N. Hospital at Plymouth as permanently medically unfit on 9 November 1942. Wright was further entitled to a Great War trio; sold together with copied service records and medal roll.

Henry John Hiscock was born on 4 July 1890 in Poole, Dorset and had earlier service with the Royal Navy as a Plumber's Mate (late SS 107691). He enrolled for a 12 year term of engagement on 21 September 1908, first serving as a Stoker 1st Class aboard Seagull before being later rated Acting Leading Stoker with Dido on 1 October 1915. Hiscock served with Dido for the entirety of the Great War and was advanced Leading Stoker with her the following April and then Stoker Petty Officer in March 1918.

He was shore pensioned on 20 September 1930 and joined the Royal Fleet Reserve the next day. Hiscock was mobilised to join Victory II in September 1939 and later discharged on 3 July 1940. However, afterwards he had a number of postings once again aboard Victory II as well as Victory III and Marshal Soult until he was released to reserve on 6 July 1945. Hiscock was further entitled to a Great War trio; sold together with copied service records and medal roll.
